Last week at the OpenStack Silicon Valley conference Tesora launched its enterprise database-as-a-service offering, which is based on OpenStack Trove DBaaS.

With enterprises looking to move workloads to the cloud, “database is one of the biggest things that enterprise wants to move to the private cloud,” Tesora founder and CEO Ken Rugg said.

In an interview with the WHIR’s David Hamilton, Rugg talked about some of the new features of its DBaaS, including accelerated database replication features.
