Zoto Deploys Zeus Traffic Manager

Zoto’s Web site allows users to access and share photographs, using a proprietary system for adding metadata to images that makes it simple to manage digital photos as they accumulate.

According to Zeus, Zoto’s infrastructure required a traffic management product that could determine where certain image were located within a cluster of hundreds or thousands of servers. ZXTM stood out among traffic management tools, says Zeus, because it was the only one that could run on the same hardware as Zoto’s custom clustering software.

“Using ZXTM installed on commodity-grade servers allows us to have a fully scalable, redundant image hosting system without spending a fortune on SANs or other expensive hardware,” said Kord Campbell, CEO at Zoto. “The ZXTM solution also ensures our users are able to use our service without any interruptions or delays.”
