March 28, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Intelligent data center developer ZooLink Corporation (ZooLink.com) announced on Friday that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Calgary-based colocation and managed services provider Web Host Canada (webhostcanada.com).

According to ZooLink, Web Host Canada provides a complete portfolio of hosting services targeting small, medium and large enterprise businesses. ZooLink says the company’s business is an ideal fit for the products and services ZooLink provides through its data centers in Calgary and Vancouver. WHC serves customers deploying applications that use popular server products from Microsoft and Sun.

Zoolink says the acquisition of WHC’s customer base will have an immediate and positive impact on the company’s revenues. Once the acquisition is complete, it will be paid for through stock and cash. Shares will be restricted, says ZooLink, and cash payments will be made over time.
