December 12, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Hosting automation provider Zeus (Zeus.com) and messaging infrastructure specialist Mirapoint (Mirapoint.com) announced on Wednesday that they are working together to provide THUS plc with a new platform for delivering Virtual ISP (VISP) services to customers that want to offer branded ISP messaging.

Together, Zeus and Mirapoint will replace the company’s legacy system with a dedicated hosting automation and messaging infrastructure designed to support THUS’s growing customer base. The system, which combines Zeus’s Mass Hosting Application with Mirapoint’s messaging appliances, is designed to allow the easy integration of new features into the system at future dates. Zeus will perform the integration of the new system into THUS’s existing infrastructure.

“The new messaging platform will allow us to expand our VISP services on a high performance, feature-rich, scaleable infrastructure,” says Phil Male, Chief Operating Officer of THUS. “This flexible platform will continue to enable us to quickly integrate customers onto our network and provide services with faster e-mail and the latest Web hosting features. Both companies offered a very low cost of ownership and were selected because their purpose-built systems could be easily installed to meet what was a very tight deadline.”
