Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.

March 7, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- According to reports, UK-based Zeus (zeus.com) released a new low-end version of its load balancing and SSL offload software last week as part of its efforts to break into the US application front-end market.

Zeus, which develops the Zeus Web Server, also launched three new AMD Opteron-based front-end appliances in addition to an enhanced ZXTM 3.1 version of its traffic management software.

The company has signed reseller agreements with Sun Microsystems and Pyramid Computer Inc. Sun will reportedly market a 64-bit Solaris Sparc 10 version of the ZXTM software in the United Kingdom, a relationship Zeus hopes will extend to the United States.

According to analysts, Zeus may have difficulty breaking into the crowded application front-end market in the US.
