FiberLink’s main route is 1,200 route miles of network running from downtown Chicago through Des Moines and Omaha to downtown Denver. Zayo has added 26,000 route miles of dark fiber with the FiberLink acquisition.
“FiberLink’s assets strengthen our ability to provide a broad range of end-to-end solutions to our customers,” Matt Erickson, president of Zayo’s fiber, transport and infrastructure division said. “Des Moines is a growing data center market that will now have greater access to Zayo’s network footprint.”
Zayo said it expects an easy integration due to FiberLink’s dark fiber business model. As such, it can provide customer solutions on this route immediately.
With the acquisition, Zayo drew funds from its previously undrawn $250 million revolving credit facility.
