(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Yahoo! Japan subsidiary and data center solutions provider IDC Frontier announced on Wednesday that it has partnered with cloud computing management firm RightScale. The joint development and marketing agreement with Yahoo! Japan and IDCF will enable customers to leverage RightScale Cloud Management on the IDCF cloud, called NOAH.

According to the press release, earlier this year RightScale established operations in Japan. The company says its latest move is another milestone illustrating its commitment to the Japanese market.

On Tuesday, web hosting provider SoftLayer announced its partnership with RightScale to offer its cloud customers RightScale cloud management tools.

“This is a significant partnership for RightScale in many ways. First, we are honored to be working with Yahoo! Japan and IDC Frontier due to their depth and knowledge of the Japanese market. Second, our agreement to now sell the NOAH cloud to customers creates immense value for our current and future customers,” Michael Crandell, co-founder and CEO of RightScale said in a statement.

RightScale says that by joining its partner program, your business can cloud-enable technology and offer cloud services to your customers. According to its website, partners receive various benefits including a demo RightScale VIP account to access all RightScale premium features, early access to upcoming versions and flexible reseller options. Cloud provider partners can deliver their services through the RightScale platform, and ISVs can deploy and manage their applications.

IDCF’s cloud customers will be able be deploy and manage applications and access the RightScale MultiCloud Marketplace that includes pre-built configurations that are customizable as well. The customers will be provided with a single platform for management of their private and public clouds.

“Through our relationship with RightScale, IDCF will now offer their customers increased management capabilities and automation with a global footprint,” Mr. Shinto, representative director of ICDF said in a statement. “RightScale is a valuable partner and we look forward to working together to bring this high caliber of management solutions to our customers.”

RightScale says it has been committed to the Japanese market since 2008, and established a wholly-owned Japanese subsidiary with offices in Tokyo in March 2011.

RightScale’s other partners in Japan include Hitachi Solutions, SCSK Corporation and Amazon Web Services.

Last year, Amazon and Yahoo announced their plans for cloud expansion into the Japanese market.
