(xo.com) announced this week that it has appointed Alan Hill as the company’s director of legislative affairs. Hill will represent XO’s interests on legislative matters before members of the United States Congress.

Hill was previously the legislative director from the office of United States Representative Cliff Stearns, responsible for planning and executing the Congressman’s legislative strategy and formulating policy and legislation on telecommunications, defense, energy and trade issues. Prior to this role, he served as a senior legislative assistant for Congressman Stearns.
