July 9, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting and Internet service provider XO Communications (xo.com) announced on Friday that it has appointed Fredrik G. Gradin and Robert L. Knauss to its board of directors. Both of the newly appointed board members will serve on the audit committee.

Gradin is president and CEO of Explorer Group Inc., an investment management company. Knauss is an independent director on boards of investment funds Equus II, Inc. and The Mexico Fund, Inc.
