Wired Real Estate Group will acquire cloud, colocation and data center research firm Applied Computer Research
Data center advisory firm Wired Real Estate Group announced on Wednesday it will acquire cloud, colocation and data center research firm Applied Computer Research for an undisclosed amount.
The move comes a few months after Wired Real Estate Group completed the placement of a US colocation company in an 82,000 square foot property in Denver.
For over 30 years, ACR has been collecting and analyzing the IT and data center markets in the United States and Canada.
Similarly, WiredRE has been advising users of cloud, colocation, and data centers for nearly six years, including over half of the top investment banks in the US.
The acquisition is a response to WiredRE’s rapid growth and further solidifies the company as a major resource for cloud, colocation and data center research.
“We intend to be the #1 resource for cloud, colocation, and data center research, and this investment is a reflection of our increasing market share and our singular focus on that goal,” said Everett Thompson, CEO of WiredRE. “Alan and his team will be a great resource for our clients as we grow and scale our research practice.”
WiredRE is one of the leading cloud, colocation and data center real estate advisory firms in the country.
The company uses its data center research to advise enterprises on data center design, planning, brokerage and finance.
WiredRE says it represents some of the nation’s top colocation and data centers, including major data center developments in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Kansas City, Boston, Pennsylvania and San Francisco.
