Windows Storage Server 2003 Now Available

Previously known as Windows Powered Network Attached Storage (NAS), Windows Storage Server 2003 is a dedicated file and print server solution that is designed to simplify data storage, file serving and backup of mission-critical data.

Windows Storage Server 2003 incorporates capabilities from Windows Server 2003 such as VSS. Other features include include distributed file system (DFS), eight-node server clustering and multipath input/output (MPIO) technology.

Windows Storage Server 2003 comes in both an enterprise edition for data centers and a standard edition for small and medium-sized businesses.

Windows Storage Server 2003 will be available through original equipment manufacturers such as Dell, EMC Corp., Fujitsu Siemens Computers, HP, and NEC Corp.
