In the last keynote presentation of Parallels Summit 2013, Parallels president of marketing and alliances Jack Zubarev moderated a quiz show that awarded attendees cash prizes for their hosting knowledge.

Coming onstage to the Who Wants to be a Millionaire theme song, Zubarev sprinkled a bunch of poker chips on the ground and quickly explained the rules of the game show.

Modelled after the popular game show, the quiz show invited attendees to participate in answering the multiple choice questions by using the live polling app via their smartphones.

People would win $25 for each question answered correctly, for a total of $1,000, which I suppose means that the “millionaire” in the quiz show’s name is entirely hyperbole.

Questions included which country-level Internet penetration is an important factor in SMB cloud adoption, which country’s ccTLD has more registered domains per capita (Montenegro), and how many servers could be powered on the electricity used annually in Las Vegas (one million).

Zubarev played the role of a hysterically hostile host to the T — possibly out-Regising Regis — inducing laughter from the full room.

The game was a fitting conclusion of Parallels Summit 2013 before attendees headed out to the closing reception.
