(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Weebly (www.weebly.com) announced on Tuesday it has integrated with Endurance International Group (www.enduranceinternational.com), making its drag-and-drop website building tool available to the company’s over 700,000 paid customers, according to a report by TechCrunch.
For the past three years, Weebly has offered consumers with a free tool that allows users with no previous programming experience to easily build rich websites. The company recently passed 3 million users.
During this time, the company would generate its revenue by offering some premium features and services.
Weebly has provided Endurance with a dedicated set of servers that will be running the service, allowing Endurance to maintain the high access speeds for customers, as well as have greater control, reliability and data storage. Weebly will continue to make regular updates to the tool.
Though the company said it could not disclose details of the agreement, Weebly CEO David Rusenko said the company will run on a revenue sharing agreement.
Endurance will provide customers with Weebly’s premium features according to the company’s own pricing.
In return, Weebly will take a cut of the site building tool’s proceeds which customers will pay through their individual Endurance accounts.
Customers will be able to access the identical-looking Weebly tool through an option found in the Web host’s control panel.
Both Weebly and Endurance users will benefit from the deal, as Weebly tool out-performs the rather limited page building options that Web hosts currently offer.
Rusenko said Weebly is currently in talks with other Web hosts to launch similar integrations.
