February 11, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Independednt Web streaming hosting service and delivery provider Webstreaming.com (Webstreaming.com) announced on Monday that it has purchased the rights and assets of the Chyron corporation?s Clari-net Dual Streamer business, a broadcast compliant Web streaming encoder.

The acquisition, says Webstreaming.com, complement?s the company?s existing product portfolio, allowing the company to offer corporate solutions for live event even streaming or a standalone unit for broadcasters and publishers.

Plans are in place, says web streaming, to continue developing the DualStreamer product, upgrading and enhancing functionality to allow Webstreaming.com to offer a fully integrated end-to-end solution.

“This is an exciting time for webstreaming.com with the acquisition of the Clari-net DualStreamer further strengthening our streaming and hosting portfolio,” says Barry Reading, director of Webstreaming.com. “We can now offer a complete ‘black-box’ solution which includes radio and TV rebroadcast through to corporate briefings.”
