WebSitePulse Releases E-filing Report
April 5, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Remote Web server and Web site monitoring provider WebSitePulse (websitepulse.com) announced on Tuesday it has launched a performance report focusing on the leading Web sites accepting online filing of personal tax returns for 2005.
“According to comScore, the late filers represent the major spike in traffic to tax sites. In 2004, 1.9 million users visited the IRS Web site on April 15th. In 2005, that number hit 2.15 million users. “WebSitePulse provides the Internet community with public information about the performance of most popular personal tax Web sites for their busiest period of the year – April 1 through April 17.”
The Web sites included in the report are irs.gov, completetax.com, efile.com, esmarttax.com, expresstaxrefund.com, hrblock.com, taxact.com, taxbrain.com, taxcut.com, taxengine.com, taxslayer.com and turbotax.com.
Web performance measurement data is available on an hourly basis while the reports are updated daily. An RSS feed is also provided for convenience.
