January 9, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — E-commerce hosting provider Webplus (webplus.com) announced on Wednesday it has partnered with online security provider ControlScan (controlscan.com).
The two companies have teamed up to offer PCI compliance solutions to merchants using Webplus’ e-commerce software. The solutions help to ensure that online merchants and website owners’ customers’ information is secure.
“This is a great way for website owners to be sure that their website is secure,” Bryan Kriech, Webplus’ COO. “ControlScan’s services give consumers more confidence to shop online which translates to more sales for merchants and will be a great complement to our Webplus Shop online store software which already provides tight security by encrypting all credit card information. ControlScan will complement this security, providing the peace of mind that many merchants and online shoppers are looking for when doing business online.”
In October, WebPlus announced it would give away one year of free Webplus Shop online store hosting.
