April 23, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Integration software provider webMethods (Webmethods.com) said yesterday it had recently issued a white paper that outlined practical methods to plan and deploy Web services to solve business problems in the financial services industry.

The paper, titled “Enterprise Web Services in the Financial Services Industry: Driving New Integration Solutions,” presents six scenarios that use Web services spanning the four main segments of the financial services industry: retail banking, wholesale banking, securities and insurance. Example scenarios include using next-generation trading technologies through enterprise Web services, and using CRM synchronization with channel partners via enterprise-level Web Services.
