March 5, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Rackspace (rackspace.com) mail division and business-class email hosting provider Webmail.us announced on Tuesday it has changed its corporate brand from “Webmail” to “Mailtrust” (mailtrust.com).
The Mailtrust name emphasizes the company’s focus on becoming the mail authority that businesses can trust, while its core service offering isĀ in business-class email, says Mailtrust.
“Because email is so mission-critical, trust is crucial in choosing your email provider,” says Pat Matthews, president of Mailtrust. “We wanted a name that would reflect that. The new name aligns our corporate mission with our reputation as a trusted email provider. We understand how serious it is to give control of such a mission-critical operation such as email to an outside vendor.”
Despite the name change, Mailtrust says it will continue to deliver business-class email services for more than 85,000 global businesses. To coincide with the name change, the company will launch a new website that better reflects the company’s mission and brand.
Rackspace also launched today its new corporate identity as “Rackspace.”
