WebFusion Partners with Microsoft

April 10, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — UK Web hosting provider and Pipex (pipex.co.uk) division WebFusion (webfusion.co.uk) announced on Tuesday it has partnered with Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions to offer new customers £50 of advertising credit free with any Windows shared hosting account. Windows users can use the free voucher to advertise through Microsoft adCenter on Microsoft’s search engine Live Search (live.com) and reach its five million visitors per month audience.

Advertisers are also able to tap into a new broader audience, accessing Live Search from across Windows Live services, such as Windows Live Messenger and Hotmail. Users can create an advert for their Web site and select which search terms activate its display. Intuitive searching through Live Search enables searchers to access the most relevant advertising, resulting in higher conversion rates, says the company.

“Teaming up with Microsoft adCenter means that we can essentially offer WebFusion customers £50 worth of visitors to their Web site for free,” says Mark Beyer, sales and marketing director at Pipex SME Hosting. “This is great for hosting customers who are perhaps new to pay-per-click or for existing users to test new search terms or evaluate a targeted marketing campaign.”

WebFusion shared hosting accounts start from £5.95 per month and include free set-up and a free .uk domain name. All accounts include comprehensive Web mail and anti-virus and anti-spam as standard, with a minimum 1GB of Web space in the basic starter package. WebFusion now offers Web design software from Serif, WebPlus for Pipex, free with any shared hosting plan.
