Webazilla Upgrades Network Capacity

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting and colocation provider WebaZilla (www.webazilla.com) announced on Monday it has increased the capacity of its hosting network to 120Gbps after signing new contracts with fiber optical connectivity solutions provider AboveNet Communications (www.abovenet.com), and IP Transit.

Last week, web hosting provider Triple Fiber Network also announced that it upgraded its network within key European cities, enabling the company to offer faster and more reliable hosting services for its European customers.

The 120Gbps capacity is a 60 percent improvement over  WebaZilla’s previous network capacity, and will enable customers to “receive a leading high-speed network,” says WebaZilla.

“We are thrilled to offer 120Gbps to our customers,” says WebaZilla spokesman Alexei Goubarev. “It means we can continue to offer one of the best high-speed networks in the industry to our growing customer base.”

WebaZilla signed a long-term contract with AboveNet that will enable WebaZilla to scale hosting networks to meet the bandwidth demands of its rapidly growing customer base.

The contract also enables the company to significantly upgrade its network quality, as well as add more redundancy.

Meanwhile, the deal with North American network IP Transit enables WebaZilla to open POPs in major traffic markets across USA.

WebaZilla was founded in August 2005 with the mission to provide the most demanding clients with high quality Web hosting.

In July, WebaZilla expanded into the US market with the opening of its Dallas, Texas data center, adding to the company’s two Dutch data centers in operation.
