(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — In the week ending October 21, 2011, Hostway is offering free Microsoft WebMatrix free with any managed hosting solution, web host Exabytes launched an iPad 2 giveaway and web host iWeb has several offers on its dedicated servers.

Web Host Hostway Offers Deal for SMBs

Cloud hosting provider Hostway (www.hostway.com) is offering Windows Web Server with Microsoft WebMatrix free of charge for the first three months of any new managed hosting solution for SMBs. The offering is available to all SMBs that implement a Windows-based server. Hostway says its Managed Windows Web Server with WebMatrix enables developers to create, customize, control and publish websites quickly and easily. The free WebMatrix toolkit is designed to make development and launch simple and give users the choice of starting from open source Web applications, built-in templates or writing their own code.

Web Host Exabytes Launches iPad 2 Giveaway

Web hosting provider Exabytes (www.exabytes.sg) launched a dedicated server hosting promotion “Get a Server, Get a Free iPad2″ which automatically entitles its first ten subscribers to a free iPad2 and free server setup fees in conjunction of its 10th anniversary. A minimum twelve-month subscription period is also applicable. Exabytes says its dedicated server default operating system is CentOS Linux or Windows 2008.

Web Host iWeb Offers Free Firewall with Dedicated Servers

Web hosting provider iWeb (www.iweb.com) is offering free SuperSmart software firewall to protect critical ports and services with the purchase of any dedicated Smart Server. iWeb’s Smart Servers are based on its SmartLayer technology iWeb says its Smart Server eliminates many of the problems associated with the management and use of a dedicated server.
