(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Despite being a short week because of the Memorial Day holiday, Web hosting providers offered no shortage of sales and promotions including two iPad 2 giveaways. Domain registrar Daily.co.uk launched a draw for an iPad 2 for new domain registrations, Web host AIS Network launched an iPad 2 giveaway, Web host Host Color announced a variety of coupon codes for savings from 12 to 25 percent, CoolHandle Hosting is offering 20 percent off shared hosting and Web host Exabytes Network discounted its .in domains to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
Web Hosting Provider Daily.co.uk Launches iPad 2 Draw
Web host and domain registrar Daily.co.uk (www.daily.co.uk) has launched a draw to win an Apple iPad 2. Customers who purchase a .com, .net, .org, .info or .biz domain are automatically entered into the giveaway. The competition will run until June 30, 2011, and the winner will be notified by July 30, 2011.
Web Host AIS Network Introduces iPad 2 Giveaway
SharePoint hosting provider AIS Network (www.aisn.net) will give a free Apple iPad 2 to customers who successfully refer a qualifying hosting client to AISN. AISN planned its promotion to coincide with SPTechCon 2011 (www.sptechcon.com), the independent SharePoint conference for IT professionals, business managers, analysts and developers held in Boston. To qualify, the customer must sign up for a minimum service level of $500 per month for a minimum contract of 12 months.
Web Host Host Color Offers Discounts from 12 to 25 Percent
Web hosting provider Host Color (www.hostcolor.com) has released the coupon code SUMMERTIME to save 25 percent off the price of its shared hosting plans. The coupon applies to blog hosting, CMS hosting, social web, e-commerce hosting and multi-domain hosting. using the code, its blog hosting plan becomes $2.99 a month, for example. Host Color is also offering 20 percent off its virtual private server hosting with the coupon code HCVPS. A third coupon code, MYSERVER, enables customers to take advantage of a 12 percent instant rebate on dedicated hosting plans. For a limited time, Host Color says the coupon code can be applied to its unmetered server plans.
Web Host CoolHandle Hosting Offers Discounted Shared Hosting
Web hosting provider CoolHandle (www.coolhandle.com) is offering 20 percent off all shared hosting accounts. The company’s shared hosting plans include unlimited bandwidth, unlimited space, free domain transfer, one-click CloudFlare CDN installer and free domain privacy for $3.96 per month.
Web Host Exabytes Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Various Discounts
Web hosting provider Exabytes Network (www.exabytes.com) has discounted its .in domains to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Starting at 9 a.m. EST on June 7, 2011, the first ten .in domains will be sold for $0.99. The 11th to the 20th domains will be sold at $1.99 each, and the prices move up by $1 for every subsequent domains sold. The promotion ends on June 30, or when a total of 50 domains are sold. After the 50th domain is sold, the price is $5.99. All prices are for one year. To take advantage of the promotion, use the coupon code HottestIN2011. Exabytes servers are hosted at Handy Networks data center in Denver, Colorado.
