A Small Orange is offering a discount to those transferring from Go Daddy
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — In the final week of 2011, many web hosts offered deals enticing Go Daddy customers to transfer their domains. While some may have worked, a report by VentureBeat says results from statistics site DailyChanges illustrate that twice as many domains transferred into Go Daddy than out.
Among those web hosts offering Go Daddy or SOPA related deals include A Small Orange, offering 25 percent off shared hosting and domains, HostGator offering half of shared hosting, and cloud computing provider Centuric is offering 33 percent off deluxe hosting plan.
Web hosting provider WebHostUK is extending its Christmas promotion to the new year, and FastWebHost is offering 50 percent off unlimited web hosting until Jan. 1, 2012.
Web Host A Small Orange Offers 25 Percent Off
Web hosting provider A Small Orange is offering 25 percent off its shared hosting and domains with the coupon code OrangeYouGlad, as in “Orange you glad we’re not Go Daddy.” A Small Orange made its stance on SOPA known this week, along with several other hosting providers.
Web Host HostGator Offers 50 Percent Off Sale
Web hosting provider HostGator is offering half off shared, reseller and VPS hosting for the first month. According to its blog, to apply the discount enter coupon code NOSOPA at checkout.
Cloud Firm Centuric Offers 33 Percent Off Deluxe Hosting Package
Cloud services provider Centuric is offering reduced transfer fees of $3.99 on domain registration. It says it will donate $1.00 of every reduced transfer fee to the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Centuric is also offering its deluxe hosting plan for 33 percent off. The coupon code SAYNOTOSOPA is valid for both offers, and is only applicable for a limited time.
Web Host WebHostUK Extends Christmas Promotion
Web hosting provider WebHostUK has extended its Christmas promotion to the new year, according to an email. Using the promo code xmas2011 customers can access a 20 percent discount off of any shared, reseller or VPS web hosting plans.
Web Host FastWebHost Offers 50 Percent Off Hosting Services
Web hosting provider FastWebHost is offering 50 percent off all web hosting services including Linux shared hosting, Windows hosting and reseller hosting. The discount does not apply to domain registrations, according to a press release. All new and existing customers that sign up through this promotion receive unlimited web hosting for $2.99 per month. The offer expires Jan. 1, 2012.
