(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — This week the hosting business saw the approach of an upcoming sale, the extension of an existing trial, the introduction of a new discount brand, the launch of a promotional price and the introduction of a new free add-on.

Cloud.bg Offers EV SSL Certs

Cloud hosting provider Cloud.bg (www.cloud.bg) said this week that customers of its sCloud shared cloud product and RCloud reseller cloud products now each receive a free standard SSL certificate with their service, and are eligible for a free upgrade to EV SSL certificate.

ColoHouse’s Full Cabinet Promotion

Colocation provider ColoHouse (www.colohouse.com) said this week that it is running a full-cabinet promotion from its Miami data center,  offering a cabinet, power, cross connect and 5MBPS staring at $830 per month. The company says it has allocated a limited number of cabinets for the promotion, which is available until October 31, or until the inventory is gone.

Host1Plus Launches Free Hosting Brand

UK-based hosting provider Host1Plus.com (www.host1plus.com) said this week that it had launched a free hosting brand, based in Frankfurt, Germany at Host1Free.com (www.host1free.com). The company says the free hosting service will include a website builder and web-based FTP client, along with support.

ResellerClub’s Mega Bargains Month

Reseller hosting provider ResellerClub (www.resellerclub.com) announced this week that its annual Mega Bargains Month promotion will begin September 1 and continue until the end of the month. The promotion will offer the company’s resellers products at greatly reduced rates, including .com domains for $839 and .in domains for $1.49.

StratoGen Extends Free Cloud Trial

Hosting provider StratoGen (www.stratogen.net) announced this week that it has extended its “hugely popular” 15-day free cloud trial program until September 30. The trial program, first launched in July, enables a customer to request a VMware virtual machine configured to their specifications, free for 15 days. The program includes weekly draws for an Apple iPad.
