BT Business (business.bt.com) has cut the price of its “Starter Pack” web hosting package by 40 percent to £2.99 (a little less than $5) per month on a 12-month contract, giving users 5GB of storage, a domain name, 10 email accounts and around-the-clock support. It has also added extra business tools to help small businesses promote themselves with a professional and secure web presence.

Toronto-based web hosting provider Cirrus Tech (www.cirrushosting.com) has updated its Linux and Windows shared hosting plans with Parallels Plesk Panel 9.2, the latest version of the industry-leading web hosting control panel from virtualization and automation software developer Parallels (www.parallels.com). Parallels Panel 9.2 offers an enhanced user interface designed to help users get things done more efficiently. Cirrus Tech’s reseller Hosting plans, which run on its shared hosting environment, will also be able to use Parallels Plesk 9.2.

Gossimer’s Unveils “The Ultimate Website Hosting Plan” with Introductory Discount

New Jersey-based web host Gossimer (www.gossimer.com) released an unlimited web hosting plan at the beginning of July 2009 called “the Ultimate Hosting Plan,” which is now being offered at a flat rate of $5 with every domain hosted with Gossimer. The new web hosting plan has also replaced all existing Gossimer web hosting plans, giving every account unlimited space, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited database space, unlimited email accounts, unlimited FTP users, and $50 worth of Yahoo Search Marketing Credit.
