(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Web hosting provider Network Solutions (www.networksolutions.com) announced on Monday that it has added Xpress SSL certificates, domain validated SSL certificates with 256-bit encryption.
This announcement comes two weeks after Network Solutions established its partnership with telecommunications provider Cablevision Systems (www.cablevision.com) to offer its hosting services among Cablevision’s Business Benefits program.
According to the press release, the company’s domain validated SSL certificate is designed for business owners who transact or collect personal information on their websites.
With its Xpress SSL certificates, Network Solutions will validate the registration through an automated process within approximately 15 minutes.
“For businesses that only need limited validation our Xpress SSL Certificate offers a simple, automated validation process,” Rob Vieyra, vice president of product management at Network Solutions said in a statement. “This process saves business owners time by removing additional validation checks and is a perfect security solution for non-critical applications.”
Network Solutions says each Xpress SSL certificate includes “a $10,000 relying party guarantee payable to a website visitor if they incur losses resulting directly from an online credit card transaction” from a mississued certificate.
Network Solutions’ Xpress SSL certificates start at $39.99 per year.
