(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web services provider Web.com (www.web.com) announced on Monday that industry veteran Deborah H. Quazzo has joined its Board of Directors.
Web.com recently acquired domain registrar Register.com for $135 million.
Quazzo is the co-founder of NeXtAdvisors, a merchant bank providing advisory services to the education and business sectors, as well as making investments in privately-held enterprises.
For 25 years Quazzo has worked as an investment banker and entrepreneur, co-founding ThinkEquity Partners, an investment bank acquired by Panmure Gordon in 2007.
Previously, Quazzo was managing director in investment banking for Merrill Lynch & Co, where she started the Global Growth Group. Prior to Merrill Lynch, she worked for J.P. Morgan.
“Deborah brings tremendous experience in creating and growing businesses,” David Brown, chairman of the board and CEO of Web.com said in a statement. “We look forward to drawing on her knowledge as an entrepreneur, a leader and a banker as we continue to develop our strategies for the future.”
She serves on various private boards mainly related to education, such as Teach for America, Chicago and America’s Promise Alliance.
