Web Host VPSLink Adds New Software

November 20, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — VPS Web hosting provider VPSLink (vpslink.com) announced on Monday it has added Fedora Core 6, Debian Etch and Ubuntu 6.10 Linux to its VPS product line.

Fedora Core 6 updates includes install-time access to third-party package repositories and other performance improvements. Debian Etch includes more software than its predecessor sarge, with over 9,000 new packages. Most of the software in the distribution has been updated including nearly 6,500 software packages.

Ubuntu 6.10 includes new features, such as faster system boot up times, faster GNOME start up times, a new optimized kernel and GNOME 2.16.
