(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed hosting provider ViaWest (www.viawest.com) announced on Tuesday it has named David Tietjen the vice president and general manager for the Greater Utah Region.
As the vice president and general manager, he will be based at the company’s Utah headquarters in Salt Lake City.
Tietjen will oversee all sales and administration for the company’s three regional data centers in Salt Lake City and Lindon/Provo area.
“The hire definitely illustrates the company’s deep commitment to the success and growth of our Utah operations,” says Bill Hobstetter, ViaWest senior vice president of sales and marketing. “David brings with him a wealth of industry experience, and well established relationships in the local business community. We are very excited to have him on board, and I wholly anticipate he will bring ViaWest enormous success in the region.”
Before joining ViaWest, David served as vice president of sales and marketing for a division of Merit Medical Systems of South Jordan, Utah.
He has also held key positions in Utah for MarketStar, TRW and Iomega.
