(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Small-business hosting firm Verio (www.verio.com) announced on Monday it has seen record growth in its indirect channel, including a 26 percent year over year revenue growth and the addition of several key partners.
Verio’s Global OEM program provides telecommunication companies, cable providers and service provider organizations turnkey web hosting solutions and includes national carriers in 15 countries and on five continents.
The company reports that a number of OEM partners joined the program in 2009 including an information and communications technology company in the Philippines, an OSS software and network services provider, an information and communications technology solutions provider in Indonesia, a leading Singapore information communication company, and one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies operating in Brazil.
“The addition of these partners, along with strong growth from our existing customers, led to impressive revenue increases for the company in 2009,” says Steve Renda, senior vice president of global sales and marketing for Verio. “We were exceptionally pleased with the success of our Global OEM program which enables our partners to address new markets, expand their reach and grow their business at a time when many organizations are navigating through the economic downturn.”
Verio says it also experienced growth in its traditional partner channels, building on the re-launch of the viaVerio partner program in late 2008.
The viaVerio program also added services designed for value added resellers, managed services providers and independent software vendors.
More than 650 partners were added in 2009, and approximately 60 percent of new channel partner revenue can be attributed to these new viaVerio partners.
The company has also launched several new programs and resources to assist partners in further growing their business.
These programs include migration programs which offer technical and financial assistance to migrate customers to Verio, pre-qualified new customer opportunities that refer end users to partners who can benefit from the viaVerio partnership, and full sales and technical support from viaVerio sales team to help viaVerio participants quickly grow their companies.
