December 20, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Verio (verio.com) said Wednesday it has launched its its 360º managed private server version 2, a fully managed hosting solution that combines a dedicated server solution with proactive security patches, operating system updates and pre-installed applications.
Verio’s MPS v.2 is based on the FreeBSD operating system, and combines server hardware, software and technical support in a fully managed and dedicated service. MPS Basic is also available, providing a more affordable managed solution. The MPS consists of three packages including Basic, Pro and Pro Plus. All three packages include managed triple backup, operating system and core services updates, managed security patches and updates, more than 50 optional pre-bundled software packages, control panel and enterprise-level system administration support.
Verio also announced its 360° managed servers family of hosting solutions. The 360º managed private server and 360º virtual private server product lines are now available on both UNIX and Windows, with Linux-based solutions to be added in January.
