(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Web hosting provider Verio (www.verio.com) announced on Tuesday that it has launched a new viaVerio Partner Advisory Council for 2011 and introduced a new independent facilitator.

Verio says the council is made up of resellers and solution providers that serve as the representative body of the viaVerio partner community.

Since 2004, the Council has provided direct input into the strategic direction of the viaVerio Partner Program and advised the initiatives that best support partner growth. Verio says it uses the feedback in various areas of its business including enhancing its product portfolio, sales and support tools, market requirements and more.

Verio has appointed Larry Walsh to its new independent facilitator position. Walsh currently leads The 2112 Group and previously served as the editor of VARBusiness and the publisher of Channel Insider.

“As a channel centric organization, we place a high priority on partner feedback and strategic dialogue as these discussions are critical to mutual success,”Steve Renda, senior vice president of global sales and marketing for Verio said in a statement. “With the launch of this new PAC, we continue our commitment to delivering an industry-leading partner program focused on strong growth for partners both now and in the future.”

According to the press release, council members also develop best practice guides and whitepapers to educate the viaVerio partner base.
