(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting and digital phone services provider US Internet (www.usinternet.com) announced on Thursday it has acquired telecommunications provider 3One Media. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Founded in 1994, 3One Media Hawaii operates under the brand name Pacific Information Exchange (www.pixi.net).

The company provides a range of Internet services including broadband services, voice over IP, and Internet delivered video, communication and entertainment services.

In addition, 3One Media offerings include award-winning commercial Broadband over Power Line access technology.

“We are excited with this opportunity to expand our global footprint in this valuable market,” says Joe Caldwell, US Internet vice president of sales and marketing. “Equally important, we understand how deep the roots are of this established company in Hawaii. We are committed to continuing with local tradition and to further strengthen customer loyalty with an expanded service offering of hosting, online backup, and email security solutions.”

The company said that existing customers of 3One Media will not see any change in its current services.

US Internet will also continue to operate in the same facility and retain the local employee base.
