(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider The Planet (www.theplanet.com) announced on Tuesday it has made enhancements to its partner program commission structure, providing additional opportunities for referral partners to earn money.
Registered referral partners now receive incentives on an even broader range of contract terms.
In addition to standard monthly recurring payments for contracts of 12 months or longer, The Planet now provides commissions for month-to-month agreements and six-month contracts.
The Planet Partner Plus Referral Program now provides commissions of up to 20 percent of the plan’s size to registered agents who refer business to the company.
The company launched its new Partner Plus program last September, offering commission rates and access to a portal with a range of marketing and sales tools.
The program includes three specific partner models designed to fit the business requirements of its customers, including referral Partners, reseller partners and affiliates.
Partners can select from The Planet’s wide range of hosting solutions and technologies, including data center colocation, dedicated hosting, on-demand cloud computing and fully managed hosting.
“Referral partners like Wakefly consistently look for new opportunities to provide value to their customers while building new revenue streams,” says Drew Jenkins, channel sales manager for The Planet. “To do that, they must have technology partners they can trust. We offer a wide range of hosting solutions within our portfolio, so partners can solve a variety of IT problems for their clients. With the improvements to our commission structure, our channel partners have even more opportunities to benefit from referring business to The Planet.”
