(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Canadian web hosting provider Tenzing Managed IT Services (www.tenzing.com) reported this week that it had been named the Hosting Solutions Partner of the Year at the 2010 Microsoft Partner Network IMPACT Awards.

The awards, given out at a ceremony in Toronto, on November 9, reward Canadian technology partners of the software for excellence within that community. A complete list of winners is available from the Microsoft website.

“Our annual IMPACT Awards celebrate the infinite possibilities innovative technology partners bring to customers on a regular basis,” says Corinne Sharp, national director, Canadian partner network, Microsoft Canada, quoted in the press release. “Technology partners like Tenzing are always finding new and exciting ways to raise the bar making them true leaders in their respective fields.”

Tenzing says it was chosen as winner in the Hosting Solutions Partner category for its work with Makeover Solutions, a SaaS company that powers the “virtual makeover” applications used by Avon, Clairol, L’Oreal, Mary Kay and Max Factor. Tenzing designed, and powers, a managed hosting solution for the application, which receives more than 100 million impressions per month from around the world.

“This is a tremendous achievement for Tenzing. It recognizes our commitment to excellence and innovation in the delivery of enterprise-class SaaS applications by leveraging Microsoft technologies,” says Kelly Beardmore, Tenzing’s CTO, quoted in the announcement. “We are very proud of the work we have done with Makeover Solutions as it showcases the capabilities of our EVEREST Cloud Hosting Platform and the dedication of the Tenzing team.”

According to Tenzing, Microsoft Canada replaced all its previous technology partner awards in 2003 with a unified program that also recognizes customer service, marketing and contribution to the community. The IMPACT awards now include 30 categories.
