(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – European web hosting provider Spiral Hosting (www.spiralhosting.com) announced on Tuesday that it has acquired domain registration and shared hosting provider Aventure Host (www.aventurehost.com). The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

According to the press release, Aventure Host was the first web host in Ireland to offer cloud hosting. The company has a large UK client base and is based in Belfast, Ireland.

With a large Irish client base, Spiral Hosting has also recently expanded into the US market after acquiring Eideashop in May 2010. Spiral Hosting is also headquartered in Belfast but has offices in Dublin and Oregon.

This merger makes the company the largest web hosting provider in Northern Ireland, according to the statement.

“Spiral Hosting are delighted to announce the acquisition of Aventure Host. This acquisition allows us to expand our operations in the United Kingdom and invest in our web hosting infrastructure, customer service and technical support,” Peter Armstrong, director of Spiral Hosting said in a statement. “Aventure Host is a first-class web hosting provider that is in many ways similar to Spiral Hosting. “Both companies are located just a mile apart in central Belfast, they have a long history of providing quality reputable services and they are proud to offer friendly personal support that will go the extra mile for our customers.”
