(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider SingleHop (www.singlehop.com) announced on Thursday it has released two new programming tools designed to let SingleHop customers further customize the way they manage their businesses online.
The move comes a day after the company announced it has expanded its Tandem reseller program to the Brazilian market.
The new API’s allow customers to build applications using any programming language they choose, which lets them interact and exchange data directly with SingleHop’s own systems.
APIs are often used to facilitate automation and daily work between two companies.
“We’re constantly looking for ways to give our customers more control over their servers and solutions,” says Zak Boca, president and CEO of SingleHop. “Our new API tools are the latest step in that effort. We have focused on extending more and more control to our customers, and an extensive API is a natural progression of that.”
SingleHop’s new LEAP API lets customer applications interact with the company’s server management system LEAP, while the Tandem API works with the company’s server reseller system.
Both tools provide access to SingleHop’s device management, ticketing, and billing systems.
The company has also included technical documentation to use the APIs on its website.
He also highlighted several of the key uses of the new API for customers, which include rebooting servers, submitting and replying to technical or account tickets, displaying detailed information on IP, bandwidth and server hardware, and paying invoices.
In addition to its new programming tools, SingleHop recently launched its new cloud platform Cascade, which will allow customers to make real-time changes to their servers’ capacity.
The Cascade platform can be controlled through SingleHop’s new API.
