(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider ServInt (www.servint.net) announced on Wednesday it has completed the largest-ever upgrade of its entire line of virtual private server services.
Earlier this year, ServInt introduced a new line of dedicated servers that incorporates Parallels’ Virtuozzo platform, which offers a high-performance application and web hosting solution designed for established e-commerce sites, resellers and medium-sized companies.
Both the web host’s existing and new VPS customers will receive these upgraded features for no additional cost.
The company says the upgrade is the result of its investment of “hundreds of thousands of dollars to vastly increase the amount of RAM, diskspace, and network resources allocated to its VPS services”.
ServInt says it never oversells its guaranteed VPS services, and instead, provisions RAM based on guaranteed RAM commitment where it will fulfill 100 percent of the RAM it guarantees to its clients.

The upgraded VPS services are available now to new customers, while existing ServInt VPS customers saw their services automatically upgraded on Wednesday.
This marks the fourth major resource upgrade that ServInt’s VPS customers have seen in less than three years, and it is by far the largest upgrade that has been performed.
Now, all ServInt’s VPS services offer increased redundancy while providing the same computing performance of a traditional dedicated server.
Each VPS service includes free backups, managed services and simplified upgrade paths.
ServInt’s Essential VPS service, which is priced at $49 per month, now includes 768MB of guaranteed RAM, 1.5GB of burst RAM, 30GB disk space and 1TB bandwidth.
The $89 per month ServInt’s Signature VPS service now features 1.5GB of guaranteed RAM, 3GB of burst RAM, 45GB disk space and 1.5TB bandwidth.
ServInt’s Ultimate VPS service, priced at $129 per month, now features 2GB of guaranteed RAM, 4GB of burst RAM, 60GB disk space and 2TB bandwidth.
Finally, ServInt’s SuperVPS service, priced at $199 per month, now includes 4GB of guaranteed RAM, 8GB of burst RAM, 75GB disk space and 3TB bandwidth.
