ServInt says its free mobile app allows its customers to open, view and manage support tickets, and access information about their servers
Managed cloud hosting provider ServInt announced on Thursday that it has launched a mobile app, ServInt Portal, for customers with Apple or Android devices.
ServInt says its free mobile app allows its customers to open, view and manage support tickets, access information about their servers, and quickly see ServInt websites and KnowledgeBase content.
This mobile app launch comes as ServInt is celebrating its 18th birthday, and has made some enhancements to its PowerPartners reseller program, including an expanded payment plan and a new ordering system, called Custom Shop.
“For the last 18 years, ServInt’s growth has been fueled by the extremely high quality of our customer support,” ServInt CTO Matt Loschert said in a statement. “This new mobile app makes it easier for our customers to track their support tickets and other important account information. It is yet another customer-friendly way for us to provide the top-notch customer support for which we are famous.”
ServInt customers can download the apps in the Google Play or iTunes app store for free with a ServInt customer ID.
In terms of web hosting mobile apps, ServInt is a bit late to the game, though there are still a lot of web hosts that don’t offer any kind of mobile app at all. The WHIR covered five cool Android apps by web hosts in October, and while their features vary, most allow users to manage their accounts, scale servers, access support tickets and register domains.
Developing a mobile app from scratch can take a lot of resources, but there are solutions that can help hosts speed go-to-market, including white-labeled solutions from Domainchy.
While there are countless studies about the increasing rate of mobile adoption, Forrester analyst Tim Harmon says that small businesses in particular identify mobile as a top priority.
