Web Host ServInt Appoints Director of Network Compliance

Mike Witty, director of network compliance at ServInt.

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider ServInt (www.servint.net) announced on Thursday it has appointed Mike Witty to the new position of director of network compliance.

The announcement follows ServInt’s appointment last month of James Tricarico to the new position of director of managed services.

Witty joined ServInt in 2000 as a member of its managed services customer support team.

He has helped design and execute escalation policies and procedures that allow ServInt’s Network Operations Center and its multiple tiers to operate at optimum efficiency.

In his new position, Witty will lead the team that enforces ServInt’s policies against hacking, phishing, spam, DDoS and similar activities.

He and his team will also manage compliance with Digital Millennium Copyright Act requirements.

Witty will report to ServInt’s chief operating officer Christian Dawson and chief technology officer Matthew Loschert.

“ServInt always has been obsessed with network integrity,” says Dawson. “Since joining the company, Mike has kept tight and effective control of all compliance issues. As we’ve grown, Mike’s responsibilities – and his team – have expanded dramatically. Now is the right time to recognize the important work Mike has been leading, and further emphasize his department’s formal responsibilities in this critical area.”
