(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web host Servers Australia (www.serversaustralia.com.au) announced on Monday that it has launched R1Soft Continuous Data Protection software as its exclusive backup and disaster recovery solution.
According to the press release, Servers Australia will offer CDP backups for all dedicated server and virtual dedicated server customers as a fully-managed or self-managed service.
Servers Australia says it can protect Windows or Linux and physical or virtual dedicated servers with CDP’s cross-platform capabilities. It also provides data protection for MySQL databases.
“In the industry, R1Soft is a well-known and trusted name, which helps put our clients at ease,” Jared Hirst, chief information officer for Servers Australia said in a statement. “On top of that, we did our own internal testing to confirm that their CDP software definitely lives up to its claims. R1Soft offers a solution that is reliable and affordable at the same time.”
Servers Australia has also deployed R1Soft’s Bare Metal Restore feature to quickly restore the complete server file system. The company says it will reduce current restore times by half, which means less downtime for customers in the event of a server crash.
“R1Soft is very excited to have one of Australia’s leading providers of dedicated hosting as a partner, and we expect this partnership to help Servers Australia propel its business even further” stated Domingo Martinez, global marketing manager for R1Soft, a division of BBS Technologies. “By offering R1Soft backups, Servers Australia sends a strong message that the data protection needs of its customers are of paramount importance. That type of message really resonates with both current and prospective customers.”
Last week, Australian Web host Distribute.IT suffered an attack from hackers that caused the company to move customers to other hosting providers.
