Inside RackForce's GigaCenter data center in Kelowna, British Columbia
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Canadian hosting and data center provider RackForce Networks (www.rackforce.com) announced on Tuesday it has added Dynamic Datacenter Services Cloud – Basic service.
The entry level cloud service starts at $79 per month and an SLA of nearly 100 percent to its cloud services portfolio.
As RackForce’s new base service, ddsCloud-B is designed to support applications with less stringent requirements, such as development & test and tier 2 applications.
Just over a year ago, RackForce launched its original ddsCloud service which is the company’s premier cloud computing service.
RackForce’s ddsCLoud-B Cloud service is hosted in its GigaCenter data centers in Kelowna, British Columbia, while its ddsCloud-E service is hosted in its 151 Front Street facility in Toronto.
The company recently upgraded its 30,000 square foot GigaCenter, adding extra power and cooling to support the growth of its cloud business.
“Our high performance ddsCloud infrastructure was designed to offer a multi-tier cloud service for varying workloads,” says Tim Dufour, CEO and president of RackForce. “In April 2010 we successfully launched our enterprise class cloud service for critical workloads. Now with the ddsCloud-B we will be providing a cloud service for less demanding, less critical workloads, at an even lower price point.”
The ddsCloud-B will be dynamically scalable to, or from, RackForce’s existing enterprise cloud offering as both products use VMware as their virtualization platform and both are connected to RackForce’s 10Gbps converged network and SAN fabric.
ddsCloud-B is now available through the RackForce website and its select reseller partners.
