(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Colocation and managed hosting provider Quality Technology Services (www.qualitytech.com) announced on Tuesday that it has made several appointments. The company has named Brian Johnston chief technology officer and named Thomas Greason the new position of executive vice president of enterprise sales.

These appointments come a week after QTS announced that its lenders ING Capital and Caterpillar Financial Services have increased the capacity of its revolving credit by $45 million, for a total of $170 million.

According to the press release, Brian Johnston served as the company’s chief operations officer prior to his appointment where he was responsible for operational and engineering functions, led innovations in cloud architecture and developed integrated support.

In his new role, Johnston will provide technology leadership for IT infrastructure, product development and data center design.

“Brian has been instrumental in QTS’ recent data center openings and expansions – from the initial design and site infrastructure to completion,” Mark Waddington, QTS president and COO said in a statement. “Brian has a unique combination of design and technological expertise and vast experience in delivering IT solutions. This new executive role will allow him to maximize his unique skill set and the value he brings to our company.”

QTS says Greason has 17 years of experience as a senior sales executive, marketer and financial analyst. In his new role, Greason will “execute QTS’ commitment to the enterprise market with a focus on QTS’ Richmond and Atlanta facilities as well as lead a national team of enterprise sales directors.”

According to the press release, Greason will work with the CFO and chief marketing and business officer to develop revenue growth strategies for QTS.

Prior to QTS, Greason was executive vice president for Current Analysis and vice president of global services at Savvis Communications.

Greason has a master of business administration from George Mason University and a bachelor of science in systems engineering from the United States Military Academy.
