(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Cloud storage data protection provider TwinStrata (www.twinstrata.com) announced on Monday that it has achieved Bronze Partner Program status with Web hosting provider PEER 1 Hosting (www.peer1.com).
A week ago PEER 1 announced that it has begun construction on its 50,000 square foot green data center in Portsmouth, UK.
According to the most recent announcement, TwinStrata provides access to PEER 1′s CloudOne Storage platform for offsite data protection and disaster recovery. The company launched its scalable cloud storage product in June 2010.
“TwinStrata’s CloudArray provides access to the best of what cloud storage technology is all about,” Tim Varma, vice president of product development for PEER 1 Hosting said in a statement. “Since many businesses are not comfortable with separating primary data storage from applications, CloudArray makes enormous sense. Features such as intelligent and dynamic caching, plug and play iSCSI protocols and a seamless integration with existing backup software makes it easy for businesses to adopt without business interruption or change. Combined with the reliability and scalability of our CloudOne Storage platform, our customers have immediate access to enterprise-class storage that is low cost, low risk and easy to implement.”
TwinStrata recently launched its CloudArray Version 2.0 software in both virtual and physical appliance configurations.
“Economic uncertainty, keeping pace with technology and having access to adequate capital are very real challenges for today’s SMBs,” TwinStrata CEO Nicos Vekiarides said. “Our vision at TwinStrata is to deliver data protection and storage solutions that are easy to deploy, simple to use, with functionality and cost-efficiencies that were once the realm of enterprise organizations. PEER1 is a leading cloud provider who shares our vision. Together, we are introducing a ‘zero friction’ entry point to an enterprise-class storage infrastructure in the cloud that is adaptable, affordable and easy to implement.”
