PEER 1 says its new CMO will support its global growth, including in the UK where it has a data center under construction
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider PEER 1 Hosting (www.peer1.com) announced on Wednesday that it has named Steve Patti chief marketing officer, and has appointed three other positions as well.
This appointment comes on the heels of PEER 1′s announcement that its data center in Portsmouth, UK, will have the lowest PUE rating in the country.
According to the press release, this new role will complement the company’s growth in the global marketplace. PEER 1 recently extended its partner program across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Patti will oversee the global marketing efforts of both PEER 1 Hosting and ServerBeach across the North American and EMEA markets, according to the press release.
PEER 1 says Patti will be responsible for leading the brand strategy and management, industry-thought leadership and social and community evangelism, among other duties.
“With more than 20 years of leadership marketing experience, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge to our team in areas including business development, licensing, channel development, and B2C and B2B experience,” Fabio Banducci, president and CEO, PEER 1 Hosting said in a statement. “We are thrilled to have him leading our marketing organization and continuing the great work the current marketing team has done for our company.”
Prior to PEER 1 Hosting, Patti was the VP of marketing and business development at Generations Federal Credit Union where he led sales, marketing and brand management.
Previously, Patti was the founder of Polarity, a global technology marketing firm and held leadership roles at Kao Infosystems and Compaq Computer Corporation.
According to the press release, Patti has a MBA in finance from the University of Houston and a BBA in management from Texas A&M University.
PEER 1 is also announcing the appointments of Jay Newman to senior VP of sales. Prior to this appointment, Newman was VP of sales of PEER 1 when he joined in 2010.
Jad Jebara was named senior VP of finance and administration and previously served as the company’s VP of finance and IT.
Brenton Brown is the new VP of finance after his position as the director of corporate finance at PEER 1.
