Netmagic's data center located in Mumbai's Bombay Stock Exchange facility
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Indian web hosting provider Netmagic Solutions (www.netmagicsolutions.com) announced on Tuesday it has opened a 40,000 square foot data center in Delhi NCR at Noida.
The launch of the new data center comes nearly a full year after the opening of Netmagic’s data center at the Bombay Stock Exchange facility in Mumbai, India.
The new data center will provide enterprise customers in and around Delhi NCR with access to managed hosting Services.
Engineered and built by Netmagic’s own core design and project team, the data center uses “innovative technologies and best practices for efficiency, high availability and highest level of physical security.”
To ensure highest power uptime, the data center is equipped with express feeders at high voltage levels from nearby sub-stations.
The data center also features redundant diesel generator sets with sufficient underground fuel storage capacity to keep the facility running for 48 hours in the event the express feeder grid fails for an extended period of time.
All racks are being fed power from N+N UPS sets, with sufficient battery backup, and the facility has been designed to meet the increasing power requirements of modern IT equipments like storage arrays and blade servers.
The carrier-neutral facility is connected to all major telecom providers, enabling large enterprise customers to choose which telecom carrier they want to connect their hosted applications to their branches, retails outlets, warehouses, factories and business associates.
This marks Netmagic’s seventh data center in India, which includes the company’s other data centers in Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai.
The company provides a full range of managed hosting services including colocation, dedicated hosting, disaster recovery and business continuity, IT infrastructure monitoring and management and cloud computing services, all of which will be delivered from the new Noida data center.
These services will be backed by the same automation tools and 24-hour customer service delivery framework that are offered to all Netmagic customers.
Customers in this region can now use Noida as their primary site and look at their disaster recovery sites to be hosted at any of the other Netmagic data centers or vice versa.
“Many customers in Delhi NCR have been requesting us to start our datacenter here,” said Sharad Sanghi, managing director and CEO of Netmagic. “We are glad to finally launch one in Delhi NCR at Noida. The datacenter will help Netmagic provide the same industry leading services and support that enterprise customers across India have come to expect of us. Our services will best serve those customers for whom IT is mission critical.”
