Web Host NaviSite Launches Managed Application Services for Microsoft Dynamics

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider NaviSite (www.navisite.com) announced on Monday that it has launched its Managed Application Services for Microsoft Dynamics product, offering a cloud-powered managed service for customers using the popular Microsoft tools for CRM and ERP.

The new product is a play in the enterprise IT arena, in which NaviSite is quite focused, and which is an area of aspiration for a lot of hosting providers, the individual customer relationships being considerably more profitable than more mass-market hosting offerings. Specialization in “enterprise grade” software platforms such as Dynamics.

NaviSite, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, says the new service will enable its enterprise customers to scale their usage of the Dynamics tools on a per-user basis, while lowering total cost of ownership and reducing risk.

“We are extremely pleased to offer these innovative, high performance Microsoft Dynamics managed application services solutions on a per-user basis,” said Brady Reiter, general manager, product management, application Services at NaviSite, quoted in the company’s press release. “These managed offerings give companies the flexibility to scale up and down monthly on a per user basis to meet changing business needs, while enjoying the superior service our customers have become accustomed to.”

NaviSite says the new service uses all the of the company’s managed services capabilities, a list that includes its NaviCloud cloud computing infrastructure platform, per-user pricing, hands-on managed on-boarding services, application management services and service level agreements.

According to the NaviSite website, the company also provides application managed services for several other enterprise software platforms, including tools from Oracle, PeopleSoft, Siebel and Hyperion, as well as for custom applications.

In February, it was reported that NaviSite, formerly a publicly traded company, would be acquired by Time Warner cable for $230 million.
