(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Cloud management firm RightScale and web hosting provider Logicworks announced on Wednesday that they have partnered to launch a joint offering for managing public and private cloud resources. The solution integrates RightScale Cloud Management Platform with LogicWorks infiniCloud and PowerCluster private cloud infrastructures.
Logicworks launched its infiniCloud PowerCluster in November, a service designed for large-scale cloud computing customers that combines the infiniCloud public cloud service with private cloud resources to create a dedicated gird of compute nodes in a Private Availability Zone.
The joint solution allows InfiniCloud customers to manage their servers in scalable, automated deployments, and improve governance by granting permission to users, auditing events and tracking resource usage.
“When an enterprise requiring true high-availability or compliance moves to the cloud, one of their key challenges is finding a platform that meets the specific needs of their organization,” Kenneth Ziegler, president and COO of Logicworks said in a statement. “By pairing RightScale’s innovative management platform with Logicworks’ technical solutions and consultative, white glove customer service, clients benefit from an easy-to-manage combination of public cloud resources plugged directly into their own dedicated, private availability-zone, helping them strike the right balance between dynamic, pay-as-you go resources and dedicated solutions for their steady-state, predictable-load or sensitive data.”
The partnership combines Logicworks InfiniCloud public cloud infrastructure and PowerCluster private cloud resources and services for high performance with the RightScale Cloud Management Platform, which helps manage applications as they scale.
RightScale says its platform offers a single interface from which users can configure, manage, automate and govern applications running on both public and private clouds.
RightScale’s ServerTemplates are InfiniCloud-read and provide the best practice architectures in a customizable framework.

And if they were, we would not be witnessing this current untapped need for solutions to simplify deployment and management, or for high-touch managed services,” Michael Crandell, CEO of RightScale said in a statement. “Our joint offering with Logicworks gives customers a much-needed choice for compliance and high-availability as they deploy and scale their multi-cloud infrastructures.
