A screen shot of KnownHost's VPS plans
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider KnownHost (www.knownhost.com) announced on Monday it has reached a significant milestone in building its 11,111th virtual private server.
The announcement closely follows a major upgrade to all of its VPS and hybrid servers, including increased memory, more disk space and higher bandwidth.
All of KnownHost’s VPS and hybrid servers are powered by Parallels and include full root access, managed cPanel, Plesk or DirectAdmin, are housed out of KnownHost’s Texas or California data centers, and feature RAID-10 failover systems.
The Web hosting provider says that most of its customers are “enjoying the increased resources for the same investment, providing better performance and the ability to grow.” The firm also doubled the bandwidth on all existing dedicated servers.
“We are excited to achieve this milestone in 2011,” says Joel Neimond, vice president of sales at KnownHost. “Our innovative features and commitment to proactively rolling-out upgrades is a formula that delivers real value for our customers year-after-year. Virtual private servers are a growing option for providing reliable, affordable and scalable hosting for businesses and personal endeavors of all sizes.”
Based just outside of Washington DC, KnownHost leases servers at two data centers, including Colo4′s Dallas facility and Digital Realty Trust’s 600 West 7th Street facility in Los Angeles.
