(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Web hosting provider iWeb (www.iweb.com) announced on Tuesday that it has modified its dedicated server management and monitoring packages.

According to the press release, iWeb has launched two support packages: “managed on demand” and “rapid response” package.

These new packages come a week after iWeb announced that it had launched a new company to take over its shared hosting division. The WHIR interviewed iWeb’s former CDO and VP of sales and marketing Sylvain Leclair, now Funio president, last week.

iWeb says its “Managed on Demand” package includes two hours of server management, that can be used for emergency support or for consulting with iWeb’s web hosting specialists. The package costs $75 per month.

According to the press release, for $49 per month the “Rapid Response” monitoring service offers 24/7/365 pro-active monitoring of critical TCP services running on clients dedicated servers as well as hardware monitoring. iWeb says the maximum response of 15 minutes is guaranteed for a member of the technical support team to manually restart the service triggered the alert.

iWeb says its “ping” monitoring service with email alerts is included free with all iWeb dedicated servers (smart or classic). 

To obtain timely technical support for an unmanaged server at the hourly rate of $75 per hour.
